The RI Thunder Gold (Lotti)  was founded in 1997 and is one of New England's premier organizations.

Flo SoftballRhode Island Thunder Gold is ranked 22 in the country by Flosoftball in the FAB 50 18U Club Rankings.    
Coach Dave Lotti feels this Thunder team could be his best in the 15 years he's run the program. The perennial PGF Nationals qualifier has all four of his pitching starters back, including Hot 100 2017 hurler Mary Haff (Arkansas), who was only able to play in 10 games due to injury but is healthy now. Another Hot 100 pitcher to keep an eye on is 2019 grad Vanessa Oatley (Penn State). Lotti also has a pair of outstanding 2020s in infielder Kayla Baptista (uncommitted), who started at third base for the Gold team last year as an 8th-grader and batted in the two-hole, and CF Lauren Keleher, who has only had one strikeout at the plate in three years of club ball.

There are 15 teams that proudly fly the banner from 10's to 18's.  It is run by Dave Lotti, a nationally known travel coach since 1997 with a vast network of college coaches available to him at any time. He has been assisted by Bob Rossi since 2002. Bob Rossi is responsible for talking to college coaches from around the country on behalf of the players in the organization. Rhode Island Thunder Gold (Lotti) is PROUD to say all girls on this team have gone to school on scholarship. 75% of these scholarships have been full rides.

Many girls have gone on to become leaders in business, lawyers, doctors, teachers and college coaches.  Hundreds of RI Thunder players throughout the organization have received scholarship money.

RI Thunder Gold host 4 Showcase tournaments throughout the year. Teams come from all over the country.
The tournaments have become a huge success with hundreds of college coaches attending.
